Design of any kind is extremely powerful. It is not just about space, but creating a place. I believe that Interior design should aim to provoke a bodily experience that engulfs us, touching our hearts and all of our senses.

My name is Charne' and I am about to enter my fourth year of studying at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) with Interior Design as my primary major and Architecture as a second major. I have always been a creative person and have a deep passion for design, art, music, travel and learning.

​

Whilst still new to the industry I believe that my passion, past life experiences and excitement for the future sets me apart from the rest. Having completed a 6 month exchange, studying in Oxford, United Kingdom and through ongoing experience as a design intern my horizons in how design is experienced and approached on the opposite side of the world have been broadened and my perspective has gained depth.

Through past work experience in commercial design, hospitality, retail and volunteer work I have gained various skills which I would consider vital in any industry. I am great with people, time management, problem solving and have held various leadership roles in the past.

It would be an honour to use my creative juices every day in a field that I love. I am a very hard worker who is hoping to improve person-environment interaction with a great team!
